A Blue-tongued Lizard

Today I am joining Ann at A Holy Experience. I am reminded of being thankful by a blue-tongued lizard. He was crawling under our outdoor table and quite scared me when we were enjoying lunch outside. The warm days have brought him out into the sunshine.

22.  He crawls around our yard like an old friend. I am thankful for long-lasting friendships.
23.  I am sure he knows all of my movements. I am thankful for a husband who is interested in what I do.
24.  He will have a drink when we water the garden. I am thankful for fresh water to drink.
25.  He loves the compost heap. I am thankful for compost to help in building up our soil.
26.  He knows when it is time to rest and sun-bake. I am thankful for time here and there to sit and rest.
27.  I'm sure he knows that he is cared for by the Creator-Father. I too am thankful for a trustworthy, loving Creator-Father.

  1. What an interesting perspective for this gratitude list. There are reminders everywhere, aren't there, of the gifts for which to be thankful. Blessings to you.

  2. That's lovely Mum. The picture is really good, I like the flowers and shadows on the rock behind. He's pretty big, he would've scared the daylights out of you, to see him while you were eating lunch.

  3. Hello Mave, we have a blue-tongue in our yard too :-) It's always a relief to see those legs isn't it?! Warm days are bringing summer creatures out now. I enjoyed how you used him to meditate on God's care and provision. Beautiful!
    blessings..Trish

  4. Wow! A blue tongue lizard--all of creation gives praise to GOD, and so we should also.

Fun to see warm weather things...7 inches snow outside here in Washington state and more falling...
