Fruitfulness
This is my first time linking with Dayle over at A Collection of This and That for Thursday's Simple Pleasures.
Without my daughter and her love and care I would not be doing this; so that is the true simple pleasure.
My Simple Pleasure today is the vegetable garden. I love working with my husband there; and then there is the joy of the harvest. My grand-daughter said she could eat heaps of freshly picked snow peas. I never cease to marvel at what comes to fruitfulness from a packet of seeds or a punnet of seedlings.
We, too, can know such fruitfulness.
Without my daughter and her love and care I would not be doing this; so that is the true simple pleasure.

I have a vegetable garden and I really enjoy it. Sometime I think I blog about it to much, but I really love everything about it.
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way you do about seeds.

You have an amazing garden, Mum and Dad, and very tasty food from it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for including me in your blog, Grandma. "My grand-daughter said she could eat heaps of freshly picked snow peas." Lots of little nice things can definitely change into one big beautiful thing. I love walking in your veggie garden and there is nothing nicer than fresh veggies straight from your garden.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to Simple Pleasures. What a gorgeous garden you have there. I'm a big lover of fresh produce, and pray that one day I'll have the space (and energy) to grow a garden of my own. Truly a wonderful simple pleasure.
ReplyDeleteI hope you'll join us often.
Watching everything grow and enjoying the bounty is indeed a great joy in life.
ReplyDeleteThe marvel of God's creation! From little things-big things grow! Your garden is wonderful. Your pleasure in your loving daughter even more so :-) many blessings..Trish
ReplyDeleteBeautiful garden. I love greenery. Blessings.
ReplyDeletethe kids and I planted some vegie seeds for the first time this year. I agree with you...what amazing things come out of a little packet of seeds and watching them grow and then being able to eat them....it's the best.
ReplyDeleteLoving your garden--also, I will be learning a new word today--I have never seen or heard the word "punnet" so I am headed to the online dictionary as soon as I leave here.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you made it over to my blog. God bless you!
So nice to have a garden and watch it grow. I have tomato plants growing on my balcony right now so look forward to what's to come there. :) Happy day to you! Tammy
ReplyDeleteFrom one gardener to another, I know exactly what a joy you get from this, especially working with your dh. and the added pleasure of sharing with your grandchildren.
ReplyDelete. Thank you for sharing
Sue
Thanks for shariang ..its wonderful to plant and see what GOD does with just one little seed !
ReplyDeleteYou are right -- God can do so much with just a little bit. No matter how tiny our offering, God can grow it into something beautiful. Welcome to Simple Pleasures!
ReplyDeleteThere seems to be a garden theme this week, and I love it. We had a garden for the first time in years this year. There's nothing quite like the fruit of your own hands.
ReplyDeleteAnd now, I'm googling "pickled snow peas".
A wonderful simple pleasure but one with hard work involved too I think. I've never heard of snow peas, don't think we get them over here.
